CMX-Tiny+^TM -- an extremely "lean and mean" kernel that provides an optimized, small footprint solution for the PIC24, dsPIC30 and dsPIC33 series of processors and allows the user to develop application code that is run under a preemptive RTOS and yet only use the onboard RAM that the processor provides! CMX-RTX Evaluation Software -- The evaluation version of CMX-RTX does not come with source code and has some limitations which the full version does not have, such as a three task limit.

Networking Software

CMX-MicroNet^TM -- an extremely small footprint TCP/IP protocol stack that is easy to implement and offers the most popular networking protocols for embedded designers. CMX-MicroNet can be run standalone but has also been integrated with CMX RTOSes. More information (PDF)

CMX-MicroNet Evaluation Software is freely-distributable in order to allow developers to familiarize themselves with the software before purchase.

The Evaluation Software is just like the full version, with the following limitations:

• The sources are not provided for the TCP/IP library.
• The code limits the number of packets to 1000 and limits the runtime duration to approximately 30 minutes (depending on hardware bus configuration) before it will stop.
• There is no symbolic debugging for the TCP/IP library.
• The Ethernet MAC address is hard-coded in the library, so you can talk to a target running with the library from a PC or other platform, but not from another target also using the library.

You are able to use TCP client/server demo MPLAB projects, as well as HTTP server projects.
